This put it in easy reach and does not block even the broadcast radio

The bulk of the radio sits under the back seat, along with the tri-plexer to split the signal bands.

I had the radio install at Ray's Radio here in Modesto. To keep the radio head under the dash cover I fabricated a mounting bracket out of aluminum tile cap strip.
